Gemstone Musical Instruments Takes Industry Bow
Elkhart, Ind., August 30, 2005 – Brookstone Partners, parent company of Gemeinhardt Company, LLC, today announced the formation of Gemstone Musical Instruments.
Consistent with the company’s long term strategy to manufacture, market and distribute a wide range of band and orchestral instruments and accessories, Gemstone Musical Instruments was created as the platform from which to conduct all sales, marketing and distribution. Instrument lines available through Gemstone Musical Instruments include Gemeinhardt flutes and piccolos, Roy Seaman piccolos, Sankyo flutes, Trevor James flutes, Artisan strings and Stephanhouser saxophones.

In conjunction with its debut, Gemstone unveiled long-term distribution agreements with Trevor James and Sankyo Flutes for exclusive distribution in the Americas. “The addition of Trevor James and Sankyo to the company’s line of flutes makes Gemstone the premier single-source provider of flutes, piccolos and harmony instruments in the industry,” said Dr. Gerardo Discepolo, executive vice president of marketing and product development. Gemstone’s flute lines range from student/intermediate flutes and piccolos (Gemeinhardt) and premium flutes (Trevor James) to handmade professional flutes (Sankyo) through top piccolos (Roy Seaman).
